In some cases, this is often a preferred option for families and clients looking to access music therapy. Generally offered on an individual basis, these sessions begin with an assessment phase of 4 – 6 weeks, to identify goals for the client and suitability for therapy. Sessions take place on a weekly basis from the client’s home. It is generally best to work from a space with little interruption but one that allows the person to come and go as they need.

The therapist works with the family to support the client with the needs they may be presenting with at the time and for an agreed length of time. If needs be, the therapist can connect with other professionals relevant to the person to best support their needs.

In schools, we can offer introductory packages for individual and group-based sessions (aged 4 – 12 years). We can also extend this service into parental information workshops and parent meetings where necessary, to support the needs of their child in the school setting.
For other organisations, community-based services, resource centres and alike – we can offer blocks of sessions, with an open group approach to support those with similar interests or level of needs, to suit the needs of your service,
